About Pace
PACE is a youth development organisation specialising in the provision of career education and job related information to young people.
Our goal as an organisation is to provide affordable career and job related guidance to all young people in South Africa. PACE has developed a range of career products and services to support young people.
One of PACE's core strategies is to train and accredit career guidance practitioners in schools, tertiary institutions, libraries, NGO's, government and business organisations. PACE ultimately aims to set a standard for the delivery of career guidance information service in South Africa.
A serious problem facing young people is the lack of opportunities available for them to gain experience and to get jobs relating to their interests. For this reason, PACE has broadened its focus by creating an entrepreneurship school. The PACE Institute is a school for young people to learn new skills through the setting up of their own small business.
PACE partners include, The City of Johannesburg and the East Rand Children's Trust. Our clients include the Department of Education, the Department of Labour, and most of the public tertiary institutions in the country. PACE has done extensive work in Southern Africa and have extended programmes and ties in Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Malawi".
